The Team
We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.
The Role
As a Build Engineer, you will be responsible for the hands-on mechanical assembly of Dynisma’s world-leading simulator systems. Working within the Build Team, you’ll assemble precision sub-assemblies into complete systems, collaborating closely with our engineering and design teams to ensure high-quality builds that meet tight tolerances.
A key part of the role involves working away from home, carrying out installations and maintenance at customer sites in the UK and internationally.
The Person
We are looking for someone who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and takes real pride in high-quality workmanship. You’ll have an excellent eye for detail, be a self-starter, and able to manage your own workload while working as part of a small, close-knit team.
You will be motivated and enthusiastic about travelling and spending regular periods working away from home, whether carrying out simulator installations or maintenance at customer sites. Flexibility, professionalism, and a positive attitude while representing Dynisma on site are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking to fill a Mechanical Build Engineer role, where you will be expected to:
- Assemble precision sub-assemblies and integrate them into complete simulator systems, following detailed work instructions and quality standards.
- Carry out simulator installations and maintenance at customer sites in the UK and internationally, including regular periods of working away from home.
- Work closely with engineering and design teams to resolve build issues and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date build documentation.
- Take pride in keeping the workshop and working environment safe, organised, and to a professional standard.
Essential Experience / Skills:
- Proven experience in hands-on mechanical assembly, working to high precision and tight tolerances.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain high-quality standards.
- Experience collaborating effectively with engineering and design teams.
- Comfortable working in small teams and independently, managing your own workload.
- Full UK Driving Licence and able to travel for extended periods to customer sites in the UK and internationally, including for installation and maintenance work.
Desirable Experience / Skills:
- Forklift licence up to 3.5 ton.
- Experience of Leica systems (AT500 + AT960)
- Experience of Composites
