Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.
Our CTO Ash Warne started the business in 2017 after leading the simulator programmes at McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams. We have since grown to a team of over 100 employees, delivering turnkey driving simulators to customers including Ferrari F1 Team as well as a number of other marquee brands.
The Role
To support our ambitious expansion, we are looking for a Safety Engineer to join us on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- A mechanical/electrical engineer with experience in a senior role
- A deep understanding of system and safety integration and, experience of multidisciplinary engineering, including mechanical and electrical design/engineering, control and instrumentation, and software.
- A strong awareness of the responsibilities of design engineers in the safety management process and, experience in the development of designs that are safe for use and meet system/performance requirements.
- Proven experience in the design and development of mechanical/electrical equipment that satisfies the essential health and safety requirements relating to the design and construction of machinery, which are defined in Annex I of the Machinery Directive/Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations.
- Leading and conducting FMEA and designers risk assessments to ensure design solutions are safe and risks mitigated.
- to appraise designs and provide feedback to designers regarding suitability of designs with respect to Annex I.
- Experience with safety engineering, including hazard identification and risk analysis, and development of safety protocols.
- Development of information and instructions for use that comply with Annex I of the Machinery Directive.
- Proven experience of Technical File compilation in accordance with Annex VII of the Machinery Directive.
- Proven experience of working with Notified Bodies and the Type Approval of equipment within the scope of the Machinery Directive/Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations
Required Qualifications
- CEng Chartered Engineer
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or a related field.
