Dynisma, a global leader in high-fidelity motion simulation technology, has been awarded Technology Company of the Year at the prestigious 2025 British Business Awards, held last night on April 24 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
The awards, held in association with NatWest, recognise businesses making a significant impact through innovation, commercial success, and global expansion. With over 300 entries submitted this year, the competition has been exceptionally strong with those on the shortlist alongside Dynisma including the likes of Dell and HP, highlighting the calibre of businesses driving innovation and growth in the UK.
The shortlisted businesses were chosen by an independent panel, with each entry carefully examined and judged on its positive impact on its workforce, sector, and overall contribution to the British economy. The shortlist was then put forward to the main judging panel, comprising 18 independent judges, including Vinodka Murria OBE, Phil Urban (CEO, Mitchells & Butlers), and Emma Crystal (CEO, Coutts Bank), to select the winner. Dynisma was also named a top 8 finalist for the Growth Strategy of the Year category, alongside major industry names including Babcock International Group, PureGym and RSK.
Founded by ex-Formula 1 engineer Ash Warne, Dynisma has rapidly established itself as the go-to supplier of high-performance driving simulators for Formula 1, Formula 2, Formula E, WEC, and IMSA teams, as well as leading global automotive OEMs, including McLaren Automotive.
Graeme Cook, CEO of Dynisma, said: “Winning Technology Company of the Year 2025 is a tremendous honour and a testament to the dedication and ingenuity of our entire team. At Dynisma, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of motion simulation to deliver unparalleled technology for our global automotive and motorsport customers.”
Ash Warne, Founder and CTO of Dynisma, continued: “This is such a great milestone for Dynisma and one that rewards our commitment to creating the most realistic simulation technology possible, aiding car development and improving performance on and off the track. To be shortlisted alongside such entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative businesses was already an incredible accolade, so to win is extremely special for me and the whole Dynisma team.”
The awards also raised more than £1.2 million for the beneficiary homelessness charity Social Bite, through the event and a fundraising lunch organised with Gleneagles Hotel.
Dynisma’s recent accolades include ranking 21st in the Sunday Times Top 100 Tech List, the highest placement for an automotive technology company, reflecting a 79.4% growth in FY23, and placing 363 in The Financial Times’ FT1000, recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing high-tech companies, the 5th highest in the Automotive business category. The company continues to expand its global footprint, driven by the increasing demand for advanced simulation in electric and autonomous vehicle development.
As part of its ongoing expansion, Dynisma opened a state-of-the-art 25,000-square-foot technology campus in Bristol last year, where the design, development, engineering, and demonstration of its cutting-edge simulators take place for a global audience. This growth has been supported by a highly skilled team, drawing from the rich talent pool in the Southwest and beyond, as Dynisma continues to attract world-class engineers and technical specialists to drive innovation in motion simulation.
